IndiGo's 24-Hour Free Cancellation Rule

How to Cancel IndiGo Flight: Step-by-Step
Method 1: goindigo.in Website
- Go to goindigo.in and click Manage Booking.
- Enter your PNR and lead passenger's last name.
- Click Retrieve — your booking opens.
- Select the passenger(s) and flight segment(s) to cancel.
- Review the net refund amount shown (base fare minus cancellation fee).
- Confirm the cancellation → a cancellation reference number is sent by email.
- Refund is initiated automatically — no separate form needed.
Method 2: IndiGo App
- Open the IndiGo app → tap My Bookings.
- Select the booking → tap Cancel Booking.
- Review the refund breakdown → confirm.
Method 3: IndiGo Customer Care

IndiGo No-Show Policy
A no-show means you did not cancel before the cut-off AND did not board the flight. On 6E Saver fares, no-shows result in forfeiture of the full base fare — there is no cash refund. On Flexi and above, a partial refund may be available minus the no-show fee (₹5,000–₹5,500 domestic).
Airport taxes (ADF/UDF/PSF) are always refundable even on no-shows — typically ₹400–₹800 per domestic segment.
Fare Reschedule vs. Cancellation: Which Saves More?
Before cancelling, always check if rescheduling is cheaper. IndiGo's date-change fee is typically ₹500–₹750 less than the cancellation fee for the same fare class. You also avoid the risk of higher fares on your new date if you change rather than rebook.

Special Refund Situations (No Fees)
- IndiGo cancels the flight: Full refund or free rebooking; IndiGo also compensates with meal vouchers or hotel (depending on delay duration under DGCA rules).
- Delay 2h+ (domestic) / 3h+ (international): Passengers may opt for a full refund instead of waiting.
- Medical emergencies: IndiGo may waive cancellation fees on a case-by-case basis with a doctor's certificate. Apply via their feedback form.
- COVID-19 travel restrictions: During government-imposed restrictions, IndiGo issued travel credits. Normal policy has resumed since 2023 for all bookings.
