How long does a HappyFares refund take?
From the time you cancel, most refunds are credited within 7 working days for domestic flights. For international flights, it can take up to 15 working days depending on the airline and payment method. Credit card refunds typically reflect within 5–7 working days after we process; UPI and net banking are faster at 3–5 working days.
What cancellation charges does HappyFares deduct?
HappyFares charges a flat platform cancellation fee of ₹250 per passenger per sector. The airline's own cancellation charges are deducted separately as per their published policy — these are set by the airline, not HappyFares. Both amounts are shown clearly before you confirm the cancellation.
Can I get a full refund if the airline cancels my flight?
Yes. If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change (typically 2+ hours), you are entitled to a full refund including airline charges and the HappyFares platform fee. Contact our support team or use the app — we will process a full refund at no charge to you.
What is the HappyFares refund method?
Refunds are credited to the original payment method used at booking — credit/debit card, UPI, net banking, or wallet. We do not send refunds to a different account or payment method for security reasons. If your original card is expired, contact our support team.
Is there any way to cancel a non-refundable ticket?
Non-refundable (or super-saver) fares typically do not allow cash refunds, but you may be eligible for: (1) Tax and fee refunds — all government taxes are refundable regardless of fare type; (2) Credit shell — some airlines offer the fare value as a credit for future travel; (3) Date change — cheaper than cancelling if your plans have shifted. Contact HappyFares support before cancelling a non-refundable ticket to understand all options.
How do I track my HappyFares refund status?
Log into the HappyFares app, go to My Bookings → select your cancelled booking → Refund Status. You will see a real-time status update: Initiated, Airline Processing, Refund Received from Airline, Credited. You also receive email and SMS updates at each stage.
What if my refund is delayed beyond the expected timeframe?
If your refund has not appeared after the expected timeline, contact HappyFares customer support at help.happyfares.in or call our 24x7 helpline. We will escalate with the airline and provide you with an updated ETA within 24 hours of your complaint.
