How to Web Check-in on Akasa Air (Website)
- Open akasaair.com/checkin
- Enter your PNR (6-character code) and the lead passenger's last name
- Click "Check-in" — the system loads the flight + seat map
- Select your seat — free seats highlighted; legroom seats and "Stretch" seats marked with prices
- Review and click "Confirm Check-in"
- Download the PDF boarding pass or save the QR to your phone
How to Web Check-in on Akasa Air (App)
- Open the Akasa Air app (free, iOS + Android)
- Sign in with your booking email or registered phone number
- Tap "Check-in" — your upcoming flight appears
- Select seats → tap "Check-in"
- Mobile boarding pass with QR appears; save to wallet for offline access
💡 Tip: Akasa Air's app has the highest user rating of any Indian LCC (4.5+ on both App Store and Play Store as of May 2026). The mobile check-in experience is significantly smoother than the legacy IndiGo + SpiceJet apps.

Akasa Air Boarding Pass + DigiYatra
Akasa Air supports DigiYatra at major airports (Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Cochin, Pune, Jaipur, Guwahati). After web check-in, open the DigiYatra app and scan the Akasa boarding pass to link the flight. At the airport, walk through DigiYatra lanes — no need to show ID or boarding pass at three checkpoints.
If Akasa Web Check-in Fails
- PNR not found: verify the 6-character PNR from your ticket email; check that the booking hasn't been auto-cancelled (e.g., payment failure)
- Check-in blocked for this passenger: a special service request is pending — call Akasa customer care 0124-654-7000
- Seat map shows no free seats: on Akasa Lite, this is expected pre-T-48h; free seats unlock only post-T-48h
- App crashes during check-in: update to the latest app version; if persistent, use the website instead
Airport Check-in: When You Skip Web Check-in
Akasa Air charges an Airport Check-in Service Fee of ₹200 (domestic) / ₹400 (international) per passenger if you skip web check-in despite it being available. Counter check-in is free only if you arrive within 90 minutes of departure or if a special service was needed.
⚠️ Required at airport: Even with a web check-in boarding pass, you must present government-issued photo ID at the CISF security checkpoint (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, voter ID, or DigiLocker app are all accepted at Indian airports).
