Check-In Timing at a Glance

Is SpiceJet Web Check-In Mandatory?
Web check-in is optional for most SpiceJet fares — you can also check in free at an airport counter or self-service kiosk — but it is the fastest way to get your boarding pass and choose a seat in advance.
At the airport: At the airport, SpiceJet check-in counters typically close 45–75 minutes before departure and boarding gates close about 25 minutes before. Reach the airport roughly 2 hours before a domestic flight and 3 hours before an international one.

SpiceJet Web Check-In Not Working? Common Fixes
- Web check-in hasn’t opened yet: Check-in opens 48 hours before departure. If you see "check-in not available", you’re simply early — try again once the window opens.
- "PNR not found" or check-in restricted: Re-check the PNR (6 characters) and last-name spelling against your ticket. Some international, codeshare, or special-fare bookings can’t be checked in online — in that case use the airport counter.
- It won’t proceed without paying for a seat: Pick any free/standard seat to continue — preferred, window, aisle and extra-legroom seats are chargeable, but a standard seat lets you finish check-in at no cost.
- Name doesn’t match / spelling error: Minor spelling differences are usually fine. For a real mismatch, contact SpiceJet to correct it before travel, or check in at the airport counter with your photo ID.
- Boarding pass won’t download: Try a different browser or the SpiceJet app, disable any pop-up blocker, or choose "email boarding pass" and print/save the PDF from your inbox.
