How to Check In Online for Emirates — Step by Step

  1. Go to emirates.com and click "My Trips" in the top navigation.
  2. Enter your booking reference and last name, or log in with your Emirates Skywards account.
  3. Select passengers to check in.
  4. Choose or confirm your seat — seat selection is included for most Economy and all Business/First class fares.
  5. Add meal preferences if desired, then confirm check-in and download your boarding pass.

Emirates web check-in opens 48 hours before departure. For international flights, check-in closes 90 minutes before departure. Use the portal at emirates.com (My Trips) or the Emirates mobile app.
You need your PNR (booking reference — a 6-character code in your confirmation email) and the passenger's last name exactly as printed on the ticket. For international flights, have your passport and visa details ready. A web-enabled phone or computer is all else required.
Free seat selection for most Economy fares. Saver fares may restrict free seat selection. All Business and First class fares include seat selection.
Mobile boarding pass (PDF/wallet) or printout. Both accepted at Dubai DXB and most international airports. Lounge access boarding passes supported.
You can still check in at the airport counter. Arrive at least 2 hours before a domestic departure and 3 hours before an international departure. Counter check-in may be chargeable depending on your fare type and airport.
Your PNR is in the booking confirmation email sent by Emirates or by HappyFares at the time of booking. If you booked on HappyFares, open the HappyFares app and go to My Bookings — your PNR is displayed there alongside the e-ticket.
