Search flights to lockFees start at ₹149 for a 4-hour lock and run up to about ₹599 for a 4-day lock on a typical Indian domestic route. The exact fee depends on the route, the airline, the departure time, and how far out you are from travel — we show it before you pay, with no surprises at checkout.
4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 2 days, or 4 days. We offer longer windows on flights that are further out from departure — last-minute fares are too volatile for us to lock for days.
If the airline cancels the flight, or seats are no longer available when you come back to book, we refund your lock fee in full to your original payment method. No questions asked.
Yes — within 1 hour of purchase you can request a full refund. After that, the lock fee is non-refundable except in the specific cases on the right.
You'll receive a confirmation email with a big "Complete Your Booking" button. Click it. We re-search and route you straight to the booking page for your locked flight — no need to search again or hunt for it in results. Enter your traveller details and pay the airline fare. If the price moved up, your locked rate applies and we refund the difference automatically.

We compare your locked amount against the airline base fare + taxes at booking time. HappyFares's convenience fee and any add-ons you choose (baggage, meals, seat selection) are excluded — they're optional choices, not part of the airline ticket itself.
Card and UPI refunds typically land within 3 business days. Net-banking and bank transfers can take up to 5 business days depending on your bank. We process the refund on our side within hours of your booking — the gap is the time your bank takes to settle it.
Honestly? Most of the time, fares stay flat or drop — we keep the lock fee, the customer is happy. Sometimes fares rise and we absorb the difference. Our pricing model is calibrated so that across thousands of locks we come out ahead and you get the certainty you actually wanted. It's a clean trade.
Fare Lock lets you reserve today's airline fare on a specific flight for a chosen duration (4 hours up to 4 days). You pay a non-refundable lock fee at the time of purchase. When you complete your booking through the link we send you, your locked fare is honoured.
The lock fee is shown on the checkout page and is non-refundable, except in the specific cases listed in section 5.
If the airline fare rises by the time you book, HappyFares absorbs the difference up to ₹4,000 per traveller. Coverage cap is fixed at ₹4,000/traveller regardless of the lock fee paid.

To use your locked fare, complete the booking via the "Continue to Booking" link we provide in your confirmation email and on your lock status page. Bookings made through other channels with a different email may not be matched to your lock.
Once your selected lock duration expires, the lock fee is retained and the locked fare no longer applies. You may search and book at then-current fares as usual.
If a customer holds multiple active locks for the same route + travel date, the most recent lock applies at booking time.
Refunds are processed to your original payment instrument. Card and UPI refunds typically land within 3 business days. Net-banking and bank transfers may take up to 5 business days depending on your bank.
Fare Lock is available on selected flights and routes only. Eligibility is determined at quote time. We may decline to offer Fare Lock for any reason at our sole discretion.
